Hi, I'm Bruce Cantwell. I've been a writer since I learned how to write cursive. Before that I was a printer. Before that I made up role-playing adventures that my brother and neighbors would play out in our backyards based on bits and pieces of movies and TV shows I'd seen.
I've written, edited, and rewritten advertising, financial stories for the world's largest business news outlets, promotional website copy, pieces on theater and spirituality for Encyclopedia Britannica, plays, musicals, and novels, among other things.
In my late twenties, I began reading Joseph Campbell to learn how to bring the universal story of what makes us human to my writing. This has led to study and practice of the original mindfulness texts, leading monthly discussions on the art and science of flow, and my current project, I Hate Happiness: a community to explore the habits of lasting well-being.
